Free Pride Month Yoga Flow | 60 Minutes

Every June, Pride Month celebrates the LGBTQIA+ community, uplifting their voices, spreading awareness, and sending out a message of strength and self-love. To celebrate Pride, we’ve released a free 60-minute Power Vinyasa flow that everyone can enjoy with instructor Mel Douglas, founder of the Black Women’s Yoga Collective. You can find more free full-length flows like this on the Alo Moves YouTube Channel.

(Note: This class originally aired on Alo Moves. You can practice more classes like this on-demand with a 14-day free trial.)

Prepare to feel empowered, strong, relaxed, and more in tune with your inner and outer self with this up-tempo Power Vinyasa flow for Pride Month. You’ll start off slow with Child’s Pose and Cat-Cows to wake up your body and work on building a deeper awareness of your breath. Then, you’ll get into some strong standing poses like Crescent Lunge, the Warriors, and Chair Pose variations to build heat and strength. You’ll end with Savasana for restoration and relaxation to cool down your body and and ease back into your day.

Throughout this class, you’ll bring attention to your emotions, connect your breath with your movements, and give yourself permission to feel ease in your body. At the end, you’ll bring your hands to your heart to send out love for yourself and to your body and its ability to guide you through this practice. You’ll manifest gratitude for everyone around you: your community, your family, and those who love and support you. You’ll also enjoy the physical benefits of practicing Power Vinyasa, including lowering stress and anxiety, boosting your energy levels, building strength, improving flexibility, and promoting better sleep.

After this Pride Flow, prepare to be uplifted and ready to celebrate Pride Month, whatever that may mean to you.
