Far more than just being a social media trend, the rituals we have before bedtime — such as mindfulness meditation — can have a profound effect on our sleep quality and duration.

“Washing my face! I am really into skincare and at night is when our cells regenerate and repair. I never ever fall asleep with makeup on. Aside from the obvious, another thing I do before bed is make a note in my phone for what I need to do the next day — this is everything from work to-dos, goals, and personal wants. I categorize it in order of most importance. This helps me to stay organized and time efficient! I don’t have much free time with my three-year-old, so this allows me to see exactly what I need to do and where I can squeeze in me-time.”
